We are proud to announce the first list of 70
GiveIndia-certified NGOs that comply with 100% of
the norms laid down by the Credibility Alliance. These
norms are an "industry standard" for the nonprofit sector
in India, and form a part of GiveIndia's listing criteria.
Our congratulations to these NGOs who believe that they
have a responsibility to be transparent with how their
funds are utilized, and who believe that they owe it
to their donors to inform them of the difference they
make to someone's life.

Vijaykumar Balasubramanian
"Thanks
for putting your available resources into good use.
I am even more happy that you've sent me this valuable
feedback.
I've been influenced by my parents to be aware of the
economic disparity in our country. They are two individuals
who have always made time for others. It is only natural
that me and my sister try and emulate them. In recent
times I've found a like- minded individual in my wife.
Being far away from home we try and give back at any
given opportunity. The personal note of seeing Sai do
well has comforted me with the fact that I've made good
use of this particular opportunity. I certainly look
forward to working with you again." .

Before 1954, running a four minute mile seemed impossible,
a physical barrier that humans could not cross. Then
Roger Bannister broke this barrier on a British track.
Within three years, 16 other runners had also cracked
the four-minute mile. Was there some breakthrough
in human evolution? Wharton Professor Jerry Wind says
no. What had changed was their thinking, once Bannister
showed it was possible. The barriers that we think
to be in the world are often in our own minds.
